| What’s Your Opinion? What does it take for a person to go to Heaven? |
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift
of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
- “Grace” means that God favored us when we did not deserve His favor
by sending Jesus to die for our sins.
- “Faith” means that we accept the record of Jesus as mentioned in the
Bible…His death, burial and resurrection.
- “Saved” is a word used to describe “eternal life”, a “home in heaven”,
also know as being “Born-Again.”

| Jesus said in John 3:3, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” |
1. Realize - Three important things.
2. Repent - The word repent means to “turn away from a life of sin and turn to God.”
Luke 13:3 states, “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
3. Request - While forgiveness of sin is available to all who desire it…it must be asked
for. Romans 10:9, 13 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved…For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be
saved.”
- Realize… You are a sinner. Romans 3:23 states, “All have sinned…”
- wages of sin is death…” (this refers to an eternal state of dying in the Lake
of Fire, Revelation 20:14)
- Realize…Forgiveness is only available through the shed blood of Jesus
Christ. Ephesians 1:7 states, “In whom we have redemption through His
blood, the forgiveness of sins…”
