What is AWANA?  AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and it comes from a Bible verse found in  2 Timothy 2:15.  AWANA is an international organization of Bible Clubs for children.  Each week is packed with fun games, counsel time and Scripture memory (Handbook) work.  Your child can earn multiple awards such as patches, pins and even trophies.

When and where is SouthPointe’s AWANA program?  Every Sunday Evening from 4 pm to 6 pm beginning September 7, 2014 and going through May 3, 2015 (With a few exceptions due to Holidays).  All of the Kids’ clubs will be held at our church located at 901 Debbie Lane in South Arlington, near the intersection of S. Collins St and Debbie Lane.

How much does the program cost?  There is a fee of $25 due when you register.  This fee covers part of your child’s expenses for the AWANA year and helps offset the costs of the AWANA store and special event nights.  There is also a suggested weekly AWANA offering of $1.  If you need arrangements to pay the fee over a period of time, please contact us as soon as possible.   We do not want any child to miss out on participating due to finances.

Do I just drop my child off?  We prefer you walk your child into our facility and locate his or her group.  All parents are welcome to stay and watch the children play and if you like, you could even help by listening to some Handbook work…

How do I register?  You can register online or at our church.   If you have any questions or would prefer us to send you a registration packet, please contact us by phone 817-453-5550 (Church Office).  Be sure to leave a message if our staff is busy when you call.   You will need to fill out both the Registration form and the Release form which includes some medical info.

What club will my child be in?  Please review the AWANA Club info page on this website.  It will provide you with the age appropriate AWANA Club for your child.
